An ancestor of the 2005 ‘Pigeon’ launch that incited riots on New York’s Lower East Side, Nike have yet again teamed up with long-running collaborator Jeff Staple for the January 2019 release of the Jeff Staple x Dunk Low Pro SB Panda Pigeon. Featuring a panda-inspired black and white colour palette with bamboo green accents this drop takes one of Nike SB’s most popular ranges to an entirely new level. Hits of reflectivity and a graphic on the outsole paying tribute to the newspaper headlines after the infamous first SB Pigeon launch complete these shoes outer, with ‘S(T)AMPLE NOT FOR RESELL’ printed on the interior replacing the standard Nike print making this shoe an all the more unique creation. This shoe comes from the minds of a quintessential Nike collaboration, draped in the history of one of the most headline-making releases of the early 2000s but with an appropriate style for 2019.
